Proximity iD appoints NZ's top data analyst, Mark Wilson, to Analytics Director

Auckland, 20 July 2005 - Proximity iD, the award-winning database services division of New Zealand's leading direct and interactive marketing agency, AIM Proximity, has appointed Mark Wilson to the position of Analytics Director. Mr Wilson has extensive managerial experience in the database analysis field, most recently as Telecom New Zealand's Customer Development Manager - Mobile, a role where he was responsible for developing and managing the company's mobile customer contact strategy. At Proximity iD, Mr Wilson will work across all the agency's clients using insights from database analysis to devise effective marketing strategies aimed at growing their businesses.

Mr Wilson says he was drawn to Proximity iD by the chance to work with industry leaders such as Geoff Cooper and General Manager, Angela Day. "They have won a huge number of awards for their work and I know Geoff and Angela will teach me a great deal," he says.

"Having spent the past nine years in the banking and telco sectors, I'm excited to be moving to an environment focused also on the retail sector. Proximity iD has used its core data analytics strength to conduct fascinating work with loyalty schemes - an area I'm keen to get my teeth into," says Mr Wilson.
