Raise Your Cup To Choysa Tea

MEDIA RELEASE : 24 AUGUST 2005

RAISE YOUR CUP TO CHOYSA TEA
The Iconic Kiwi Brand Turns 100

No matter who you are and where you live, you will probably have a soft spot for Choysa Tea. Whether it is because you recall your grandparents drinking it or it is a tea you have been brewing for your family and friends over the years, it has now become an iconic kiwi brand that is celebrating 100 years of age.

Established in 1905, Choysa Tea was - and continues to be - reliable, consistent and quality tea. Often referred to as the perfect tea because of its flavour, purity, fragrance, strength and comforting and refreshing qualities, it is no wonder this tea has survived the test of time!

From humble beginnings, Choysa Tea was first introduced by Auckland's Bond Brothers - Enus, Elon and Enoch. With its distinctive, bright red and yellow oval logo it was the first tea to be marketed nationwide in the early 1950's and remains a top selling brand across the country to this day. It is frequently found in the luggage of those travelling overseas, or in the post for New Zealander's living abroad such is its appeal to those away from home, as a great New Zealand flavour!

Celebrating its 100-year landmark, Choysa Tea will be offering an exciting on pack promotion, in store from the end of September. Purchasers will be in to win A Classic Night Out with Choysa offering luxurious nights on the town with Ticketek.

So raise your cup to Choysa Tea to celebrate this landmark anniversary and enjoy the flavour that has been brewing across the country for 100 years.
