ABN AMRO Craigs Opens New North Shore Office
ABN AMRO Craigs has opened a new North Shore office at the Takapuna Finance Centre.
Managing director and chairman Neil Craig says the office opening reflects the growth in share investing over the past five years.
In a recent survey, commissioned by ABN AMRO Craigs and the NZX, figures show 23% of the adult population owns shares directly (not through managed funds or superannuation schemes).
This means 100,000 more New Zealanders – almost half the population of North Shore City – have invested in the sharemarket since 2000.
Additionally, 14% of those surveyed within the Auckland region plan to increase their investment in the sharemarket this year.
Situated in the Takapuna Finance Centre, 159 Hurstmere Road, the new office was officially opened by North Shore City Mayor George Wood.
"It's a credit to this city that such a leading financial services institution continues to grow and prosper within our shores," Mayor Wood said.
ABN AMRO Craigs is the only NZX firm on the North Shore.
