Interislander to reduce Kaitaki speed
Further to Interislander's commitment to undertake monitoring with the Marlborough District Council, Interislander yesterday advised the Marlborough Harbourmaster that they will reduce current operating speed to 18 knots through the Tory Channel.
This is to allow for a period of controlled monitoring.
Interislander is aware of the concern of some of the local community and feels this is a positive step so the community can have confidence in the operation and allows for the issue to be dealt with on a factual basis.
Interislander says they have been part of Marlborough life for many years and value the working relationship they have with the local community.
