CCANZ Appoints New Chairman

CCANZ Appoints New Chairman

The Cement and Concrete Association of New Zealand (CCANZ) announced the appointment of Andrew Moss as Chairman of the Board, at their Annual General Meeting held in Auckland last night.

Andrew, a CCANZ Board member for two years and current Marketing Manager of Golden Bay Cement (GBC), has over twelve years experience in the industry, working in a variety of business and marketing development, logistical and customer management roles since joining the company in 1991.

Andrew said he was thrilled to be appointed Chairman and was excited about the opportunities and challenges that he will face in his new role.

“This is a great industry and I’m really looking forward to working more closely with the CCANZ team to help grow the profile of the sector and also strengthen the competitive positioning of concrete,” Andrew says.

“The regulatory changes in the industry at the moment provide the perfect platform for CCANZ to continue to be the leading industry voice.”

Patrick McGuire, Chief Executive of CCANZ, in welcoming the new appointment, also acknowledged the commitment and contributions former Chairman, Rex Williams (who will remain on the Board as Deputy Chairman) made during his tenure.

“Rex has been a great leader and we have valued his work over the past year.

The Board are now looking for a generational change and believe that Andrew is the best person capable of achieving this and moving the Association forward,” Patrick says.

Andrew Moss’ appointment as Chairman of the CCANZ Board is effective immediately.
