Carters Moves To Six Day Trading Week

Trading hours condensed to reflect commitment to the trade and staff

Carters is moving to a six day trading week nationwide from today (September 26) and will no longer be open on Sundays (with the exclusion of Carters St Lukes branch in Auckland).

Changes to Carters trading hours mean that customers can expect to have more knowledgeable and friendly staff on hand from Monday to Saturday to help meet their building needs when they drop into their local branch.

Carters Chief Executive Stuart Munro said: "The changes reflect Carters commitment to the building trade and our staff. Permanent employees will now have a dedicated 'family day' enabling them to spend more time with their families which is in line with our company values.

"The changes will reduce pressure on staffing levels which will flow through to improved employee retention and higher levels of customer service enabling us to have a stronger focus on the building trade.

"In addition, Carters most experienced staff will be available to offer practical advice on Saturdays," Mr Munro said.

"Each Carters branch is committed to providing a high standard of customer service to the trade. We know our customers appreciate dealing with enthusiastic, knowledgeable staff when they're visiting our branches."
