Tisco award significant first

Tisco – the household name for excellence in electronic appliance installation and repair – has claimed a prestigious industry award.

Tisco Christchurch was named the top electronic service centre at the Appliance and Electronic Industry Association’s (AEIA) APEX awards last weekend. The awards, held as part of AEIA’s annual conference, recognise the association’s outstanding performers.

Tisco Christchurch was previously the top electronic service centre in 2002. Its recent win marks an important milestone in the awards’ history, as it is the only electronic service centre to have won this honour more than once.

Tisco Christchurch franchise owner Bryan Edwards says the award is a reflection of the hard work and dedication of his team.

“We are delighted to gain this recognition from the industry – and to be honoured for a second time is just fantastic.”

Tisco Managing Director Ken Shilling says the win is another important success for the company and follows its expansion in the Waikato region, and the growth of services offered to Auckland customers.

“Tisco is continuing to go from strength to strength as our reputation for excellence and expertise grows,” he says.

Tisco has been part of the New Zealand landscape for more than 40 years. It is a franchised organisation with 30 service centres throughout the country. As a member of the Guildcraft Group, Tisco is linked to a network of independent local tradespeople.
