Shop for an $8,000 fashion fix

Not all the action is on the catwalk in Air New Zealand Fashion Week.

One lucky Auckland shopper will be able to stay right up with the best of the fashionistas simply by buying something from a range of outlets in the city during the country's premier style extravaganza.

The city's business promotion group Heart of the City is giving away $8,000 worth of fashion in support of its involvement in Fashion Week. Plus all entrants go in the draw to win a huge fashion spree in the Auckland City Grand Prize.

To be eligible to win the $8,000 HOT City Fashion Collection, shoppers only need to make a minimum purchase of $1 from any participating fashion retailer in High Street, Chancery, O'Connell Street, Vulcan Lane, Durham Lane or Atrium on Elliott.

HOT City marketing manager Liz Smith says the prize is a fashion addict's super fix.

"Imagine having $8,000 to splurge on your favourite fashions in the city's premiere shopping districts. Heaven in the City!"

All entrants also go in the draw to win the Ultimate Auckland City Fashion Experience courtesy of Auckland City.

"The winner of that gets a personal consultation with a fashion and shopping guru, a night at The Hilton Auckland, lunch with an Air New Zealand Fashion Week designer, a beauty hamper and some serious shopping vouchers at the city's leading fashion stores.

"Watch out for the HOT City Fashion Collection flyers and entry forms in the city's stores."

Liz says details are also available at the HOT City website at www.hotcity.co.nz where there's a list of participating retailers and prize details including conditions.
