NZ Online TV company launches New Zealand's first dedicated Online tourism TV Channel.

NetsideTV Ltd, New Zealand's first online TV company is pleased to announce the launch of the country's first dedicated online tourism TV channel, www.rotoruaNZ.tv

The product, using the NetsideTV Ltd developed "Channel Manager' online video content and presentation management system is a joint venture between Destination Rotorua Tourism Marketing and NetsideTV Ltd and aims to show case visitor attractions in the greater Rotorua area via browse able and scheduled video content.

"This is an exciting development in over the horizon promotion of one of New Zealand's top visitor areas" said NetsideTV Director and co founder Paul Brennan.

"www.rotoruaNZ.tv offers local operators and stake holders the opportunity to reach broadband audiences across the globe who can view and assess attractions as part of their research in formulating travel plans via streaming video".

The channel went live in July in test configuration. In launch configuration www.rotoruaNZ.tv now hosts over sixty streaming videos of between thirty seconds and forty eight minutes duration, featuring visitor attractions, history pieces and advertising of visitor related businesses. The channel also features a daily scheduled video stream which runs like a normal TV programme schedule.

Mr Brennan says "NetsideTV Ltd is delighted to be partnering with Destination Rotorua Tourism Marketing on the project. They have made a bold move, showing innovation in embracing new communication technology, utilizing the power of moving pictures to promote the Rotorua message to the world."

NetsideTV Ltd will build an audience for www.rotoruaNZ.tv through search engine advertising, a link off the Rotorua's official website www.rotoruaNZ.com, partner links and links off NetsideTV Ltd's www.airsidetv.com sites which attract up to 4000 video viewers daily, mainly in the US and UK.

"NetsideTV Ltd offers full video production, hosting and scheduling services in support of www.rotoruaNZ.tv. We are finalising a range of options which will be put to operators who can benefit from using the platform after the initial audience build phase" said Mr Brennan

Viewing video from www.rotoruaNZ.tv requires Microsoft Windows Media Player 9 or above and a broadband internet connection. Firewalls may inhibit video streams.
