Ultimate Vegas Experience for Corporates

Media release : Tuesday 8 November

Tim Beveridge Creates a Hit with Ultimate Vegas Experience for Corporates

NZ Singer Tim Beveridge has created a stunning new entertainment package for the corporate entertainment market and just returned from a encore performance in Kuala Lumpur for the NZ/Malay Business Council.

The Ultimate Vegas Experience debuted to an audience of 30,000 people at the Lakeside concert in Rotorua. The show was also performed at the massive IBM Asia Pacific Recognition Conference in Christchurch earlier this year in front of 2500 people from 17 different countries. It was rated by IBM's senior executives as the most successful evening of entertainment in the 25 year history of the event.

The Tim Beveridge Ultimate Vegas Experience is unique for New Zealand and the ultimate in entertainment for companies looking to provide their valued clients and staff with the complete entertainment experience.

The Ultimate Vegas Experience salutes the great Vegas era of live entertainment when Vegas legends such as Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Elvis Presley and Sammy Davis Jr ruled the town. The full show includes a 17 piece big band as well as a stunning line up of dancers choreographed by Candy Lane.

Tim performs Big Band Swing era hits and makes them his own with arrangements created especially for him by the same guy (Russell Garcia) who used to arrange for Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald and Oscar Peterson.

The sound of Tim and his own big band of all star musicians is big and powerful. Tim has recorded his new CD in Hollywood with the Buddy Childers Big Band -- the last of a breed. His show can be tailored to any size and occasion.

Biography - Tim Beveridge

Tim Beveridge's career has progressed in leaps and bounds since he abandoned his life as a lawyer 12 years ago. Starting in musical theatre, he sang Phantom of the Opera at the tender age of 29, then appeared on the world stage by winning a place in the final of the world's most prestigious musical theatre competition, the BBC Voice of Musical Theatre in the UK in both 2000 and 2002. His first CD, "Singer" with the NZSO, went "gold" within 4 weeks of release.

In 2002 Russ Garcia (arranger to Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Count Basie, et al) heard him sing and took an instant liking to Tim's voice and personality. Even though nominally retired in New Zealand's Far North, Russ began to make big band arrangements for Tim, a collaboration that culminated in the release of Tim's second CD, "Come Rain, Come Shine" on the Sony/BMG label just last year. The CD, featuring the Buddy Childer's Big Band and conducted by Russ Garcia, was recorded in Hollywood. It's been endorsed far and wide, and by such luminaries as Burt-Bacharach-lyricist Hal David, Australia's Alan Jones, and New Zealand icon Ray Columbus, OBE.

Tim has sung with such well known stars as Sir Howard Morrison, Dame Malvina Major, Frankie Stevens, and Hayley Westenra. He's sung in every major venue in New Zealand, at the Sydney Opera House and Melbourne Concert Hall. His sold-out appearance last summer at the Hamilton Gardens Festival ranked No. 1 of the event's 35 acts, and he has conceived, produced, directed and starred in the massive Rotorua Lakeside Festival over the course of the past ten years.

Tim sang the National Anthem for the prestigious final test match between the Lions and the All Blacks at Eden Park and also the victorious final Bledisloe Cup match against the Wallabies.

"* If, as William Shakespeare says, music is the food of love then Tim Beveridge* definitely qualified as a deep-dish apple pie (sometimes spicy, often comfortingly familiar, always satisfying)."
