Adidas NZ Congratulates NZRU on RWC 2011 Win
adidas New Zealand today congratulated the New Zealand Rugby Union on winning the bid for RWC 2011.
Managing Director of adidas New Zealand Greig Bramwell said that finding out New Zealand had won the bid this morning was exhilarating news.
“Just like the rest of the country we are just over the moon about the result. The success of the recent British & Irish Lions tour showed that New Zealand can host an event of major proportions – and now to have the opportunity to showcase our country through a global event such as the Rugby World Cup is just fantastic.
“For adidas it is the perfect opportunity to showcase our products and technologies on the world stage.
“The NZRU worked incredibly hard to develop an exemplary bid document and subsequent presentation to convince the IRB that New Zealand was the choice to host the event. We congratulate everyone involved for his or her contribution to the winning effort.“
