Bluff joins the Woosh network
Telecommunications provider Woosh Wireless’ network now extends to the bottom-most tip of the South Island with the commissioning of a new site in Bluff.
With the Bluff site, Woosh’s portable broadband coverage is available to approximately 80 per cent of Southlanders.
Woosh has further sites planned to go live in Southland, bringing coverage to Round Down, Spar Bush and White Hill, during the first quarter of 2006 under its partnership with Venture Southland.
Woosh’s broadband services have been popular in Southland, says Sandra Geange, General Manager Sales, Service and Marketing.
“With our Christmas offer, high-speed portable internet is available for just $9.95 a month for the first three months of a 12 month service contract.
“A big advantage for Woosh customers is that they get fast access to the internet, without tying up the phone line.
“Our wireless technology is well suited to a region such as Southland with its large land area, hilly terrain and widely dispersed population.”
Woosh’s Christmas offer applies to a range of Woosh plans. It means that new customers signing up to the offer can achieve savings between $60 to $180 in their first three months as a Woosh customer, depending on which plan they choose.
