Industrial Action At Avalon Studios
TVNZ has confirmed that one hour of industrial action by staff at Avalon Studios meant that the Good Morning programme did not go to air on TV ONE today.
TVNZ says it very much regrets the disruption to viewers and to TVNZ's commercial partners. Alternative programming was able to be provided and the normal schedule resumed by 11am.
Chief Operating Officer Rodney Parker says negotiation over a new collective agreement for staff at Avalon has taken place over the last six weeks.
"We are committed to achieving a satisfactory outcome," he says.
