New Chief Executive takes over at ING
Marc Lieberman has joined financial services leader ING (NZ) Limited as Chief Executive Officer, replacing Paul Fyfe who retired last month.
Mr Lieberman (42) has been with ING Group since April 2000 in a number of senior financial services roles.
He has 20 years’ industry experience covering the full breadth of operational and sales functions across insurance, managed funds and investment markets.
Mr Liebermans’ appointment followed an extensive global search and he comes to the role with a broad range of investment and financial services experience to further strengthen ING’s growing presence in the New Zealand marketplace.
Previously Head of Strategic Distribution for ING Life in the United States, he has also worked as Head of
Strategic Channel for the ING Advisor Network, responsible for planning and implementing all phases of strategic development. Prior to that, he was Senior Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer, ING Investment Products Distribution.
Mr Lieberman, who has a Bachelor of Science in Business from Buffalo State College and an AAS in Business, is married with two children. He officially took up his new appointment at ING on 1 March.
