Million Dollar Manukau Views In Lynfield Reap Rich Rewards

It was what every real estate agent lives for - the chance to market a highly desirable property in a discreet location with the added bonus of having ‘views to die for’.

As Harveys Blockhouse Bay sales rep Karl Finn says “it was a dream home that only comes up once every 10 years.” So he was determined to make the most of it.

Situated on a peninsula jutting out into Manukau Harbour at the bottom of a private driveway in one of the top streets in Lynfield, the property, situated on 1600m of landscaped grounds, has long been regarded as one of the jewels along the Hillsborough-Blockhouse Bay sweep.

While the location and property ticked all the right boxes, Karl pays tribute to the vendor for the successful outcome at auction last week where it sold for $ 1.38million, for what is believed to be a record price for a residential property in the area. “His support of our marketing initiatives enabled us to undertake a highly visible campaign which included good use of aerial photography to highlight the property’s features,” he says.

During the marketing campaign more than 150 buyers viewed the home with more than 200 present at the auction. After some spirited bidding the price past the $1 million mark, finally reaching the closing price of $1.38m.

According to Harveys Blockhouse Bay branch owner, Len Day “it was a very successful outcome and proved that quality property, well marketed can still achieve the desired result. All credit to Karl and the vendor for their vision and sales execution.”
