Fusion Wins Over Britain’s Biggest Auto Store

Billion Dollar Retailer Places Million Dollar Order With Kiwi Electronics Brand

March 29 2006, Auckland, New Zealand: Fusion Electronics Ltd, the New Zealand-based consumer audio and electronics company, announced today that they have secured a further major sales and distribution deal with Halford’s, leading UK car accessories retailer. The deal will see Fusion’s car audio range made available throughout the United Kingdom, with an initial sales order in excess of $NZ1 million.

Fusion Electronics was established in 1998 in West Auckland. With a focus on a high performance, high quality range of amps, subwoofers and speakers, Fusion has achieved rapid global expansion in recent years, and the company has built significant brand presence in the lucrative UK market.

Halfords is the UK’s biggest retailer of car enhancement and maintenance products, with annual sales in excess of $NZ 1 Billion through more than 400 stores. The UK car enhancement market is valued at more than £850m and is growing of than 7% a year, largely led by increased sales in in-car entertainment and technology.

Today’s announcement is the latest development in a 2 year relationship between Fusion and Halfords, and was concluded when Fusion’s UK marketing team presented the about to be released 2006 car audio range. The deal means Fusion will achieve distribution in approximately 400 stores through England. An initial sales order of $NZ 1.1 million has been placed

When they saw our new range they immediately saw its market potential”.

Fusion will officially launch the new range of Encounter, Powerplant and NV series amps, subwoofers and speakers at the Car+Sound show in Sinshiem, Germany in April.
