FCB NZ appoints Derek Lindsay
to lead media team

Auckland, 30 March 2006: Integrated advertising agency, FCB New Zealand, today announced the appointment of experienced media specialist, Derek Lindsay, to the role of Media Director. Derek replaces Anna Chitty who is re-locating to Shanghai in May after a period of 4 years with FCB.

Derek Lindsay has held a range of senior management and media roles in both the United Kingdom and New Zealand. More recently, he was the co-founder and managing partner of Spark Ltd, which he grew from start-up to one of the largest media agencies in New Zealand.

According to Bryan Crawford, CEO of FCB New Zealand, “Derek brings to the agency a wealth of international experience and industry knowledge along with strong strategic and technical expertise. He further adds to the broad skill base of our senior management team.”

Derek Lindsay said, “FCB understands that it’s not just about buying media space, but about immersing yourself in the client’s business to gain the right insights to meet their strategic and communication needs. That’s why it is generally recognized that FCB has one of the best media teams in the country, and I am delighted to be joining it.”

Mr. Crawford added, “We are sorry to see someone of Anna’s calibre leave as she’s made a significant contribution to the business. We wish her the very best as she continues her career in China.”
