New Zealand Newspapers win 14 Marketing Awards

New Zealand’s newspapers have won 8 First Places, 5 Second Places and 1 Third Place at this year’s International Newspaper Marketing Association’s Newspaper Marketing Awards.

The Press, Waikato Times and The New Zealand Herald have all taken home awards from the 71st INMA Newspaper Marketing Awards, held in Chicago last week. This year’s awards attracted more than 1,000 entries from 206 newspapers in 37 countries around the world.

First Place

The Press – In-Newspaper Promotion: Advertising category (75,000 – 300,000 circulation) for “Your Career”

Waikato Times – Newspaper Research/Data Books and Media Packets category (under 75,000 circulation) for “Waikato Times Market Overview”

The Press – Premiums/Incentives category (75,000 – 300,000 circulation) for “At Home”

Waikato Times – Managing Advertiser Relationships category (under 75,000 circulation) for “Motortimes Relaunch”

The New Zealand Herald – Managing Advertiser Relationships category (75,000 – 300,000 circulation) for “New Zealand Fashion Week – The New Zealand Herald Inkroom”

The New Zealand Herald – Promoting Youth Readership category (75,000 – 300,000 circulation) for “The New Zealand Herald NewsEd Programme”

Waikato Times – Promotion of the Newspaper as an Advertising Medium category (under 75,000 circulation) for “Something Missing?”

The New Zealand Herald – Promotion of the Newspaper as an Advertising Medium category (75,000 – 300,000 circulation) for “Herald on Sunday Creative Advertising Opportunities”
