Visa International makes two senior NZ
appointments
Auckland, May 2 2006 – Visa International
has appointed Andy McCowan to the role of Senior Business
Development Manager and Sarah Eglinton as Marketing
Manager.
Andy and Sarah will join Visa International’s New Zealand Country Manager, Iain Jamieson, in Visa’s Auckland office, which opened in December 2005.
In his role as Senior Business Development Manager, Andy will support banks in New Zealand helping them to implement new products and grow and develop their existing Visa card issuing and acquiring portfolios.
Andy was previously based in Sydney with Visa International as Business Development Manager, responsible for key accounts such as St. George Bank, Suncorp, Bank of Queensland, Adelaide Bank, Heritage Building Society and Travelex.
As New Zealand Marketing Manager Sarah will be responsible for driving the strategic direction of the Visa brand in New Zealand and providing a local conduit between the brand and the major New Zealand banks.
Before joining Visa, Sarah worked on credit card business development and strategy at Bank of New Zealand (BNZ) since 2001. Her responsibilities included acquisition, usage and retention of BNZ credit card products.
