Employers unconcerned about unions’ back pay claims
Employers await the unions back pay claims for youth rates but we suspect they will never arrive, says Susan-Jane Davies, Managing Solicitor for EMA Legal.
“The law clearly allows for the payment of youth rates”.
“The unions’ claims may just be a publicity stunt to drum up support for the Bill before Parliament.”
“Employers should not be in the least concerned about any back pay claims, if indeed the unions actually file them.”
“EMA Legal represents only employers and specialises in employment law.”
