Vodafone New Zealand’s results for the
three months to 30 June 2006, released today, show 32,000
net additions to the customer base, increasing Vodafone’s
customer base to 2,100,000.
Chief Executive Officer Russell Stanners says net customer additions are in line with the company’s expectations in a challenging marketplace.
Stanners said today that the decrease in ARPU was as a result of Vodafone’s ongoing commitment to bringing prices down, the impact of mobile termination rate reductions and the entry into the market of new customers who were spending less.
“Voice minutes on the network for this quarter were up 11% on the same quarter last year, confirming that customers are continuing to increase usage of mobile services.”
