Perry Group announces sale of gaming machine business

The Perry Group announced today that it has sold one of its subsidiaries, United Gaming Limited, to Auckland-based investment company Steamboat Capital Ltd.

The Perry Group has owned and operated the business, which sells and services gaming machines, since 1999.

Perry Group Deputy Chief Executive, Murray Gutry, said the company had decided to sell the gaming machine business as part of its strategy to focus on core business activities.

“The sale follows on naturally from our decision last year to sell the Group’s interests in Sky City Hamilton and our move away from involvement in the leisure industry,” Mr Gutry said.

Director of Steamboat Capital Ltd, James Reeves, said that he is looking forward to working with United Gaming’s industry-leading team to continue to develop the business.
