$30,000 to Give Away

13th September 2006

$30,000 to Give Away in Fourth Instant Finance Community Spirit Awards

The fourth Instant Finance Community Spirit Programme is underway with $30,000 about to be donated to non-profit making organisations in the local communities served by the personal loan company.

The initiative is one of the key elements in Instant Finance’s charitable programme. Every September Instant Finance customers are invited to nominate a club, school, community group or any non-profit making organisation, for inclusion in a draw to win one of 30 community awards of $1000 to help them achieve their goals.

Adrian Hatt, Instant Finance Marketing Manager explained: `It is a way for Instant Finance to contribute to the local communities it operates in. We’ve already been able to help many great organisations throughout the North Island who have benefited from our customers support in recent years.’

The 200 members of Kaitaia Gymnastics Team have a newly built gym thanks to help from Instant Finance. The club has 60 competitive gymnasts and regularly competes at regional ribbon days as well as the annual national competition.

The Tutukaka Coastguard, based in the harbour marina complex at Tutukaka, Whangarei was helped with an award from the Community Spirit Programme. The coastguard volunteers oversee the safety of people enjoying the local region's harbours, gulfs and beaches. Every year, the team's tasks can include pumping out a sinking boat, pulling a boat to safety or saving someone's life.
