It’s All About Us!

Media Release from Dart River Safaris
21 September 2006

It’s All About Us!

Snow-capped outcrops, sheer cliffs, ancient beech forests and glacier-fed rivers – and Dart River Safaris.

Glenorchy and the Dart River feature as one of the Kiwi ‘Must Do’s’ in the AA ‘101 Must Do’s For Kiwis’ list released this week.

But go onto the website to investigate further or click on the link to vote for the experience, and the imagery and words are all about Dart River Safaris, the country’s most scenic jetboat trip into a pristine World Heritage area.

“I suppose it shows that we are intrinsically linked to our stunning natural environment and it only serves to reaffirm what we at Dart River Safaris already know – we are one of the best activities in New Zealand,” says a beaming sales and marketing manager Kerry Walker.

The AA website (www.nzaa.co.nz) is nothing short of fulsome about the Dart River experience, calling it “an exhilarating and exceptionally scenic jet-boat ride up this pristine glacial river” and extolling the virtues of paddling back downstream in a Funyak, for the “ultimate, laid-back way of appreciating the cliffs and chasms along this breath-taking river”.

On a slightly less tongue-in-cheek note, Kerry says the accolade reflects what she has been hearing from international visitors for the past few years.

“The feedback we get is that we are showing visitors the New Zealand they came to see, and they just love the trip for that reason.

“There are so many beautiful spots in New Zealand and this really is one of the best.

“We know this will persuade more Kiwis that they need to come and experience this amazing trip.”
