Warm Welcome to Harcourts Directors
Warm Welcome to Harcourts Directors Seeking
Joint Venture Partners at China Franchise
Expo

Freshly returned from promoting Harcourts to potential joint venture partners at a major China Franchise Exposition in Shanghai, Harcourts International Ltd Directors, Mike Green and Paul Wright were excited with the progressiveness, warmth and opportunities in China as part of their international expansion strategy.
The International Franchise Exhibition held 24-27 August gave the Directors the opportunity to discuss Harcourts as a business opportunity with potential Chinese investors and partners.
Harcourts International Executive Director, Paul Wright reported that they received 70-80 expressions of interest from the exposition which they followed up through visiting several successful real estate operations in Shanghai, Beijing and Shenzhen which had 100-200 company owned offices each. “China has some very sophisticated real estate operations with good technology and infrastructure. We were amazed at the expansion, high tech, and the friendliness of the people we met.”
Mr Wright added, “The real estate model as we know it has been growing in China since 2000 when the Chinese Government enabled property to be bought and sold which saw thousands of real estate offices established. During our visit we discovered a huge thirst for knowledge on franchising, growing bigger real estate businesses with particular emphasis on learning about Harcourts’ management training models, systems and IT, and developing training for sales consultants.”
Mr Wright and Mr Green also met with representatives of one of China’s largest financial institutions to build links to assist “high net worth” clients looking to access regular information on property in New Zealand, Australia and Fiji where Harcourts has offices.
