First independent Fire Alarm Monitors on Track
EVERYTHING ON TRACK FOR New Zealand's first independent Fire Alarm Monitoring centre
ALARM NEW ZEALAND (ALARMNZ) is now certified "Grade B2" by New Zealand Security Association (NZSA) in preparation for N.Z. Fire Service (NZFS) final approval.
ALARMNZ has confirmation from the NZFS that the start date for independent connections to their Message Handling System (MHS) is the 21st May 2007.
Following 2 years of effort, the Alarm New Zealand monitoring centre has been issued a Grade B2 certificate by the New Zealand Security Association as tested to the AS2201:2004 standard. This grading is higher than the required minimum level set by the New Zealand Fire Service for accreditation as a Automatic Fire Alarm Service Provider (AFASP) in 2007.
During the recent 2006 FIRE-EXPO held in Auckland, ALARMNZ announced its grading intentions and demonstrated its broadband connectivity to major brand Fire Alarms including AMPAC and Pertronic. It is now widely excepted that the ALARMNZ monitoring transmission technology offered will be the most advanced available next year.
This is a major advancement for ALARMNZ towards AFASP registration with the NZFS, further progress will be released as the final date comes closer.
