Global Routes Going Global With iTunes

Global Routes Going Global With iTunes

Global Routes Distribution are very pleased to announce their entry into the world of digital distribution.

Global Routes Distribution has signed a deal with iTunes to distribute NZ music locally and world wide via the iTunes Shop.

"This is an exciting moment for independent New Zealand bands and artists." Explains General Manager Alan Holt, "They will now be able to have their music available world wide to potential fans who otherwise would never be able to purchase or hear it. Global distribution will now be available without all the time and money spent setting up physical distribution. No more costly airmail packages to London, no more late night phone calls to Dutch distributors named Huygen."

"I have had a lot of experience marketing bands overseas through my ten years working at my previous employer Flying Nun. The world is a big place and there is potentially a large market out there for independent music. The rewards for NZ artists could be fantastic!"

"The rewards are also available for bands and artists who have releases that are no longer in print. The fact that a NZ punk band from the late 70's stopped gigging years ago will have no bearing on whether a San Fran punk aficionado will want to download their songs or not."

"Some NZ music sell for buckets on Ebay. Now bands can reap the benefit of their catalogue too."

Global Routes welcomes all NZ bands and labels to get in touch now and get on board.
