Be in to win this summer with Xbox Live Arcade
Hot prizes to be won on Small Arms and Lumines Live!
in the Xbox Live Arcade Challenge

AUCKLAND, December 13 2006 – Registration is now open for the first two events in the highly anticipated Xbox Live® Arcade Challenge. Featuring recently released titles Lumines Live! and Small Arms, competitors have the chance to play on Xbox Live Arcade and win prizes ranging from a high-definition Plasma screen TV, to Xbox 360TM hardware and Microsoft® points tokens.

The first Xbox Live Arcade Challenge kicks off on December 17, with Q Entertainment’s Lumines Live!, the newest edition to the blockbuster franchise created by Tetsuya Mizguchi. The Lumines Live! challenge will feature competitions in Time Attack Mode and players can prepare by viewing the instant replays of players already at the top of the leaderboard.

The next Xbox Live Arcade Challenge heats up on December 24 with the recently released brawling game Small Arms. This original title developed by indie developer Gastronaut Studios has rapidly become one of the most popular Xbox Live Arcade releases ever. The Small Arms leaderboard will be reset at the beginning of the challenge to provide a level playing field, so polish your skills and select your favourite weapon-strapped furry creature as everyone has a chance to win this summer.

The Xbox Live Arcade Challenge is a brand new programme featuring fully integrated global tournaments and enables gamers of all ages to play in fun new ways with their friends anytime, anywhere.
