Worlds first
floating Tea Bar launched on Interislander
The worlds first floating Tea Bar will be launched across the Cook Strait next year on the latest addition to the Interislander fleet, the Kaitaki.
Due to the uniqueness of the event the owner of Dilmah tea himself, Merrill Fernando from Sri Lanka is flying into Wellington for the occasion and will be hosting two events on board on Valentines Day.
From Wellington to Picton 100 people will enjoy a special Tea Party and on the return journey out of Picton, Mr Fernando will host a Tea Cocktail Party again for 100 people.
All money raised from these two events will go to New Zealand hospice.
Interislander say that a growing number of people are turning to tea and to ensure they keep up with the latest trends they were more than happy to have the Tea Bar on board.
