Strategic Finance expands into the South Island

Strategic Finance expands into the South Island

Top tier finance company Strategic Finance is continuing its growth and expansion with a move into the South Island. The company is opening a Christchurch office on January 15 and has appointed John Laird as Senior Lending Executive.

The opening caps a successful year for Strategic Finance which saw Australian investment giant Allco take full ownership, the Bank of Scotland extend a $75 million line of credit and the awarding of an investment grade B1 rating from Risk Analysis.

Mr Laird joins Strategic Finance from 11 years with Mascot Finance Limited. Prior to that he spent 22 years with Trust Bank Canterbury. He takes up his role in the Forsyth Barr House office on January 15.

Christchurch brings to four the number of offices Strategic Finances operates: Auckland, Wellington, Sydney and Christchurch.

Strategic Finance Chief Executive Kerry Finnigan said the company is growing steadily and further expansion is likely.

“Our alliance with Allco brings new and diverse opportunities so it is only natural that we will expand local operations to take full advantage of these,” he said.
