Aucklander To Head Major Division Of Goughs

The Board of Gough Gough and Hamer is pleased to announce the appointment of Peter Batcheler, of Auckland, to the position of Chief Executive Officer of Gough Transport Supplies Limited (GTSL) with effect from 1 February 2007. This follows the recent appointment of Michael Pearson as General Manager HDTE in Australia.

As CEO GTSL Peter Batcheler will report directly to the Board of the Gough Group of Companies and will be responsible for the overall leadership, development and performance of this significant part of Gough Gough and Hamer.

The principal companies in GTSL are the long established and substantial Transport Specialties Limited (TSL) and Transport Wholesale (TWL) in New Zealand and Heavy Duty Transport Equipment (HDTE) and Australian Tipping Systems (ATS) in Australia.

This group of companies has an annual turnover in excess of $120 million, employs 240 staff across 27 company operated outlets and has a well established management structure with extensive sales and marketing capability. Its network of outlets supplies world-class branded products to transport operators, including truck and trailer manufacturers in Australasia.

Chairman of the Gough Group of companies, Norman Geary, said, "The Board is delighted to have secured the services of Peter Batcheler, who has had extensive relevant CEO/General Manager experience in significant enterprises as well as serving as Managing Director of a New Zealand trailer manufacturer for a period.

His most recent employment has been as Group Operation Manager of the Tiri Group and General Manager of Masport Limited."

Norman Geary added, "With the Group's expansion activities planned or already underway in Australia and New Zealand, it is appropriate to make this very senior appointment."
