Sleepless night for Million Dollar Man
A Manukau man who claimed Saturday's Lotto first Division prize had a sleepless night before claiming his prize, says NZ Lotteries Chief Executive, Todd McLeay.
The winning Combo 8 ticket was purchased at Kwik-E-Mart in East Tamaki, Manukau. The winning ticket was worth $1,009,408.
"I slept with the ticket in my pocket, but first I made a copy and gave it to my sister for safekeeping," said the winner.
The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, said that he was regular Lotto player. "Over the past ten years I have used the same numbers and have won some smaller prizes," he said.
He was very happy with his win, which will allow him to purchase a new car, and help his elderly parents.
