2006 Sales Revenue A Record For CER Group

Media Release
30 January 2007

2006 Sales Revenue A Record For CER Group

Statement made by David Warrick, Managing Director, CER Group Limited

• CER Group 2006 sales up 86% on 2005
• Expanding international commercial markets for Certified Organics
• Strong festive season for New Zealand Nature

Strong sales performances from Certified Organics and New Zealand Nature saw CER Group end 2006 with record sales revenue of $6.2 million, up 86% on 2005.

2006 was a successful year for both of CER Group’s operating businesses. Certified Organics achieved significant momentum for its Bio Weedkiller product in offshore markets, while New Zealand Nature performed above expectations in its first full year within the Group.

Total full year 2006 sales revenue for Certified Organics was up 67.8% to $1.46 million.

Certified Organics completed its first shipment of product to the Americas. Commercial markets in this region hold considerable potential for the Company, because the genuine organic nature of its products is increasingly valued by the likes of produce growers, who supply into the rapidly-growing North American organic produce market. The business has been awarded a market development grant from New Zealand Trade and Enterprise to establish a sales office in California.

New Zealand Nature Company’s excellent performance continued with strong and consistent sales revenue throughout the year. 2006 sales revenues totaled $4.7 million, representing a 93.4% increase over 2005, in which New Zealand Nature contributed to CER Group’s results for the final four months. On a like-for-like basis the business grew its sales a very encouraging 17.5% on the full twelve months of 2005.

The business moved into a new Nelson-based facility, providing increased distribution and storage improved networks.

It is anticipated that the full financial year announcement will be made in late February.
