Cupid Must Die!

Cupid Must Die!

Ever get the urge to stab a cherub? Sasha Madarasz, owner of introduction agency Two’s Company once worked with a girl who had to physically remove herself from reality every Valentine’s Day by flying off to an obscure island to marinate in vodka for a week. She couldn’t handle February 14th. Heaps of people can’t. It is completely understandable why some people become Schizophrenic Satan when Valentine’s rolls around, but the saddest part is that there is no reason for the despair. If you want champagne, chocolate, and a hottie to share it with, it’s not a problem.

At Two’s Company there is one thing which is an absolute, statistically proven fact: there are over 1,200 successful, fun, well spoken, good looking, grounded, “normal”, single men and women in Auckland. They’re all different ages, all different backgrounds and interests, and are all looking for life partners. They can’t meet anyone at bars or clubs, their dating pool of friends’ friends is drained, they don’t have time to dedicate to searching out others like themselves, and they don’t particularly want to search because they’re otherwise completely satisfied. This is known to be the absolute truth, because they’re on Sasha’s books at Two’s Company, all 1200+ of them.

Two’s Company is Cupid’s nemesis. There’s no gallivanting around town with a bow and arrow with claims of sniffing out perfect matches. It’s not a cheesy dating centre where the numbers are astronomical, and the members are hit and miss.

It all began four years ago. “I had a lot of friends who were amazing people, single by circumstance, and who just were not getting the opportunites to meet other single people. I thought I’d start matching them up” Sasha says. She was good at it, professional, and trustworthy. It turned into a career.

At Two’s Company, you don’t fill out forms. You talk about yourself, what you want out of the future and what you want out of a partner, and that’s it. No pressure. Sasha does the screening then send singles your way. You decide who you meet. It’s all very ordinary really, but it works. There’s an understandable the hesitancy to sign up with a dating agency. It can all seem very sinister and embarrassing, but Two’s Company exists to prove all those stereotypes wrong. Two’s Company creates an environment that meets expectations and makes dating for adults easy.
