WON REPORT – TEQUILA\Auckland and TBWA\Whybin make top list
TEQUILA\ Auckland has been ranked in the top 10 most awarded direct agencies in the world by the latest Won Report, the annual analysis of the world’s best DM.
The Auckland office alone ranked as number 9 in the world for its work in 2006. Aim Proximity New Zealand (combining two offices in Auckland and Wellington) is ranked at 7.
TEQUILA\’s campaign for ASB Rural Banking, “Bootscraper” made the list of the world’s top 50 most awarded campaigns for 2006, at number 26.
Despite not specialising in direct, partner agency TBWA\Whybin also made the top 50 list of direct agencies, at number 23. TBWA\Whybin and 180\TBWA’s “Be the Ball” campaign for adidas, was ranked at 35 on the list of the world’s most awarded direct work for 2006.
The combined points tally of TEQUILA\ and TBWA\Whybin would have placed the agencies at second in the world, and first in Australasia.
Overall,
New Zealand fared well in the rankings, with multiple
mentions.
