28/02/07

New chief executive for ATTTO, (Aviation, Travel, Tourism, and Museums Industry Training Organisation).

ATTTO is pleased to announce the appointment of Elizabeth Valentine to the role of Chief Executive.

Elizabeth’s recent career spans a range of executive roles encompassing training and education in both the public and private sectors.

Elizabeth comes to ATTTO from the Plumbing Gasfitting and Drainlaying ITO (Industry Training Organisation) where she was chief executive.

“I’m delighted to take up this role. My interest in all sectors covered by ATTTO has endured for 20+ years. It is very much a people industry with many opportunities where education and training can contribute. Whether out in industry, at a training provider, or inside the ITO – “He Tangata, He Tangata He Tangata!” – it is people, it is people, it is people.” Elizabeth says.

“I have a passion for New Zealand and the opportunity that we have to bring foreign earnings into this country. Whether this is as a supplier of highly technical services in Aviation or service experiences as the World’s Best Tourist Destination, we can always add value through developing competent, confident people at all levels across our sectors.
I look forward to re-establishing old acquaintances, doing a lot of listening and more particularly building on the great work already achieved by the team at ATTTO.”

Elizabeth comes from Nelson. She has an MBA from Henley (UK). She also has a diploma in Business Studies from Massey University (endorsed Training & Development) and an Associate Diploma in Teaching from Trinity College London.
