Coca-Cola Amatil (N.Z.) Ltd announce intent to purchase Café Direct coffee business
Coca-Cola Amatil (N.Z.) Ltd (CCANZ) has reached agreement to acquire the assets of the hospitality and office coffee delivery company trading as Café Direct.
Completion of the acquisition is expected by the end of March.
Café Direct, established in 1992, is New Zealand's largest workplace coffee vending business, with 1,500 customers and a recently established presence in New South Wales, Australia.
Managing Director for Coca-Cola Amatil (N.Z.) Ltd, George Adams, welcomed the acquisition of Café Direct.
"The acquisition of Café Direct will provide us with an opportunity to expand our existing customer relationships and service capabilities, and we will also be able to offer a broader array of products and services to existing Café Direct customers," Mr Adams said.
Director of Café Direct, Murray Thatcher, said this is a real opportunity for our business to grow in the Australian market.
"It will be business as usual for all our staff and customers all of whom have contributed greatly to the present success of the business. The future will be exciting for all as Coca-Cola Amatil (N.Z.) Limited takes the business to the next level," Mr Thatcher said.
