South Pacific Tyres Appoints Vice President Sales

Wayne Johnston, has been appointed vice-president, sales, for South Pacific Tyres in Australia and New Zealand and also continues as country manager for New Zealand.

In his new position he is responsible for all Goodyear and Dunlop tyre sales throughout Australasia. This covers 450 retail stores and 150 licensees operating under various brands including Beaurepaires, Goodyear Auto Service Centres and Frank Allen Tyres, nine retreading factories and motorsport.

During his 28 year career in the New Zealand tyre industry he has been involved in all aspects of tyre marketing and selling and he has held senior management roles with responsibility for retreading and manufacturing.

He will continue to have a close involvement with New Zealand and will be splitting his time between the two countries.
