Universal Homes' Chatham Hill on Market Nationwide

Universal Homes' Chatham Hill on the Market Nationwide

With the appeal of its superb, nautical-themed homes at Chatham Hill, Gulf Harbour, proving to be far more widespread than anticipated, Universal Homes has given the job of marketing the development to influential national real estate company, Bayley's.

"We realised that Chatham Hill was attracting more than just Aucklanders, and by tapping into Bayley's country-wide marketing resources, we are able to offer the homes there to people around New Zealand," says Universal Homes' Sales and Marketing Manager, Mike Pearce.

Chatham Hill has 138 free-standing properties, which will be released in either two or three stages over the next two years. All have been designed in the distinctive Cape Cod seaside style – a first for Universal Homes and in keeping with the marine flavour of Gulf Harbour and the Whangaparaoa Peninsula. They are within walking distance of the Portofino Marina complex, the Country Club and Golf Course.

There are 49 homes in stage one, some of which have sea views. Seven are now for sale, each constructed to a very high set of specifications. Sizes range from 166 to 207 square metres, with prices from $517,000 to $639,000. Some plans include a double-sided fireplace.

Designed for effortless indoor-outdoor living, with a focus on both family life and entertaining, the two show homes are fresh and airy, with a palette of light marine colours. Each has a large, elegant kitchen, an open-plan lounge-dining area, three generously proportioned bedrooms and an office.

"We've received very positive feedback from Chatham Hill," says Mike Pearce. "People love the Cape Cod style of the homes, the spaciousness, the use of colour and the contemporary, nautical feel. We think it's one of the most attractive developments we've ever undertaken, and the interest we've received so far seems to show that house-hunters agree."

To meet demand, Universal Homes has extended the viewing times for the Chatham Hill show homes, and a Bayley's Real Estate representative will be on site. The new hours are: Wednesday: 1 pm to 3 pm; Saturday and Sunday 1 pm to 4 pm.

Bayley's Real Estate has an office in the Gulf Harbour town centre, and its sales team is very familiar with the area's facilities and transport.

The Chatham Hill show homes at 12 & 13 Park View Drive, Gulf Harbour, can be viewed during the hours above, or by appointment: call Bayleys on 09 428 0600 or 021 994 365.
