New manager appointed at one of NZ’s top luxury hotels Corstorphine House

One of New Zealand top luxury hotels Corstorphine House today announced a new manager to run their Dunedin hotel.

Teressa Davies has been appointed the manager of Corstorphine House, which has been the temporary New Zealand home for royalty and celebrities.

Davies first started as a waitress at the hotel seven years ago and previously had a three-year stint in the air force.

She returned to the hotel in 2004 and has worked her way up from the bottom to run the small five-star hotel.

Nico and Irina Francken remain as owners of the hotel, passing over the general running to Davies.

The tourist operator plans to build 15 investment villas on the site on the hill over looking Dunedin.

Corstorphine Hotel was built in 1863 and is a grade 1 registered historic place. Their restaurant was voted as a finalist in the 2006 Restaurant of the Year awards.

Head chef Shona Jane was recently named a New Zealand lamb and beef ambassador.
