Whaimutu Dewes, Chairman of Ngati Porou Whanui Forests Ltd, announced today that Chris Insley, General Manager of Ngati Porou Whanui Forests Ltd will be resigning and moving into new challenges.
Whaimutu Dewes said Chris Insley has been General Manager of Ngati Porou Whanui Forests Ltd since mid 2002, following a number of different roles in other forestry sector organisations.
“Chris wants to move onto new challenges and opportunities in the next phase of his career.”
“Under his energetic leadership the company has grown and made significant progress towards implementing its strategy. He has led the company in the formation of its operating structure, and developed a team with strong relationships with Ngati Porou Whanui Forests Ltd partners, land owners, government agencies and other key stakeholders.”
“The company and the land owning groups have a great deal of respect for Chris and support his decision to pursue his career aspirations. It’s a good opportunity for a new Chief Executive to lead the next stage of implementation of the company’s strategy.”
“We appreciate that Chris has agreed to remain available to assist the transition to a new manager. He will leave the full time position as General Manager with Ngati Porou Whanui Forests Ltd on 15 June 2007 and after that date will contract back to the company to make sure there is a smooth transition to a new Chief Executive.
As far as Chris and the company are concerned it is “business as usual”.
“We have begun the recruitment process for a new Chief Executive”, Whaimutu Dewes said.
