Wellington Secures Another International Order

A major international appliance company has placed an order for the first stage of a new Wellington "Total Integration" development project. The new project is targeted to deliver a drive system for a household appliance that is widely used in developed countries. The company uses over 5 million units annually.

The ordering company is a respected household name in most countries, and stands amongst the industry leaders for innovation in appliance design. The Wellington development is intended, amongst other improvements, to reduce the drive system’s production costs and reduce the running costs of the appliance itself through electricity savings. Both European and United States versions of the drive system are being developed. A target date for introduction to production has not yet been set.

This project is another application of the Wellington’s newly-developed “Monsoon” motor, electronics and software technology. Wellington’s Monsoon system offers improved production costs compared to other known electricity saving motors. Similar projects are in discussion with other companies.

For reasons of commercial confidentiality neither the customer name, nor the component type, can be disclosed.
