Dick Smith Electronics set to power up Sylvia Park

Sylvia Park shopping centre is set to get a surge of sales and energy with the opening of the Dick Smith Electronics PowerHouse store next weekend.

The store is planning a “non-stop party” over two days from 9am Saturday, March 31, to draw new shoppers into the Stage 3 development at Sylvia Park.

Situated in the heart of the new Sylvia Park entertainment complex and with a trading floor space of over 2000 square metres, the massive store will be the third Dick Smith Electronics PowerHouse to be opened so far in New Zealand.

The Dick Smith Electronics PowerHouse opening event will feature entertainment from celebrity guests Tony Veitch and Stacey Daniels, who will be giving away spot prizes. Shoppers can also enter into major prize draws.

There will also be extra special discount prices offered throughout the weekend on TVs, notebooks, mobile phones, home theatre systems, cameras and more.

Emma Armstrong, Marketing Manager for Dick Smith Electronics, says the concept of the Dick Smith Electronics PowerHouse is to showcase new technology, big brands and an extensive range of products in a fun and entertaining environment.

The store lets shoppers experience the electronics for themselves in designated zones for Digital Imaging, Home and Car Audio, Communications, Music and Movies, Computing, Televisions, Gaming and Small Appliances. It also boasts a Projector Room and Vista Digital Home.

“With home and entertainment technology constantly changing and improving, the Dick Smith Electronics PowerHouse store brings the full range of home electronics together under one roof,” says Mrs Armstrong.

Each Dick Smith Electronics PowerHouse store has a service team called the ‘PowerSquad’, who can assist customers with installing products, teach them how to use the products and offer after-sales service.

“These stores are about providing a total consumer electronics solution for the customer, matched with top-quality service and expertise,” says Mrs Armstrong.

Mrs Armstrong says they are expecting a good turnout for the opening.

“There were queues around the block when we opened the Dick Smith Electronics PowerHouse store in Manukau last year. It’s going to be a lot of fun.”
