Barfoot & Thompson sets triathlon record
Auckland’s leading real estate
company, Barfoot & Thompson, has set a triathlon record –
and the race is still four days away! The firm has entered
17 teams in the upcoming DHL Corporate Teams Triathlon
event, the largest number of teams entered from any one
company.
Barfoot & Thompson Regional Manager Kiri Barfoot says the response from the company’s 65 branch network surprised her.
“Real estate agents aren’t necessarily known for their fitness levels so it’s great to see so many of our people taking the opportunity to train for and focus on a single event. We’re all getting excited about race day and we’ll all be there to encourage each other all the way to the finish line.”
Each team member has to complete the 400m swim, 10km cycle and a 4km run before the next person begins their circuit.
“This is a great chance for our people to do something that might normally be a bit out of their comfort zone and to improve their health and fitness. It’s also a great chance for our staff to meet on a social level.”
The DHL Corporate Teams triathlon takes place at Mission Bay, Sunday 1 April.
