Celebrating 10 Years of Premier Wine Promotion

Wine New Zealand celebrates 10 years of premier wine promotion with the 2007 event, which will take place from Sunday 2nd –Tuesday 4th September in Hall Two of the ASB Showgrounds, Greenlane, Auckland.

Over the past decade, Wine New Zealand has cemented its position as the eminent wine trade event in New Zealand, showcasing the best that the New Zealand wine industry has to offer. The event has been a launch platform for top quality wines and has showcased wineries that have contributed to firmly establishing New Zealand as a major player in the international wine world. As Wine New Zealand celebrates a decade of premier wine promotion, visitors can expect a supreme line up of premium New Zealand wineries to be gathered in one convenient location for the 2007 event. In 2006 there were 183 wineries exhibiting, either directly or via a distributor. This was the largest number of exhibitors at Wine New Zealand in recent years.

Wine New Zealand has developed its format so that it now offers more than a pure sampling forum. With the introduction of the Wine New Zealand Seminars in 2006, the event now also provides an educational platform and a key exchange between winemakers, hospitality professionals; key trade and wine media. As a trade exclusive event, the extended tasting and educational platform is designed to encourage the wine retail and premier hospitality industry to gain a greater appreciation and understanding of New Zealand wines, sample a large selection of quality wines as well as meet with the winemakers and network with industry colleagues. All trade visitors and exhibitors to Wine New Zealand are invited to attend the seminars at no additional charge.

The enhanced educational platform, combined with more than 183 wineries sampling in excess of 1,000 wines, make this a must attend event for the premier hospitality and wine trade professional and a key opportunity to develop and enhance industry relationships.
