New Senior Appointments at Hirepool Reflect Strong Growth

02 April 2007 – Hirepool Limited has made two new senior appointments as it looks to consolidate its position as the premier rental equipment solutions provider.

John Gibson and Eli McCowatt, two of Auckland’s leading equipment rental industry professionals, have joined Hirepool as Business Relationship Managers (BRMs).

Gibson has more than 26 years experience in the hire equipment industry, with McEwen’s Hire, Hirepool and Projex. More recently he was a Key Account Manager with Hirequip.

His extensive industry knowledge and his relationship building skills will be of great value in his new role. He says Hirepool’s excellent leadership qualities, particularly in following systems and procedures, as well as the organisation’s culture are the elements that attracted him to the role.

McCowatt (34) has spent more than half his life in the industry across a wide rank of tasks. He says “with the hire equipment industry in my blood”, the Hirepool offer was in line with the future career path he was looking to pursue.

Managing Director, Tenby Powell says these appointments demonstrate Hirepool’s commitment to create and maintain sustainable partnerships with customers, suppliers and staff. “I’m confident John and Eli will play a key leadership role in the growth of our organisation,” he says.
