No dip in demand for Harrowglen sections

No dip in demand for Harrowglen sections

Following the sell out of a release of another 17 sections towards the end of last year, DTZ has announced a further selected release at Harrowglen, its prestigious subdivision in Albany on the North Shore.

Located off Oteha Valley Road, Harrowglen offers a unique, upmarket lifestyle opportunity comprising generously sized, fully serviced sections located within a carefully planned project which includes reserves and protective covenants.

“It has been hard to keep up with the demand,” says DTZ’s Kenneth Millar, responsible for marketing the subdivision, “so we are delighted to be able to offer a further limited selection from stage 6 including some flat and some elevated sites and some tucked into the more wooded reserve areas offering good privacy. Demand has been such that we have people with their names down for stages 7, 8 and 9 – about 1600 names in total.”

Several show homes have been completed in the ‘township’ to good response including homes by JG Gardener and Jalcon. CDL Land New Zealand Ltd, developers of the exclusive subdivision are delighted with the way it is shaping up believing take-up of sections to be very much in line with what they anticipated.

“I am particularly encouraged by the way both builders and home owners have shared CDL’s dream of building quality homes - several of the new homes that are now completed are fine examples of this,” said John Lindsay, General Manager of CDL Land NZ Ltd.

One of CDL’s main criteria was to protect the investment value of the land for buyers and homeowners through adhering to the covenants that have been placed on the land to control the type and style of development. Mr. Lindsay further emphasised that this was also achieved through the way that they have controlled the release of the land to ensure that the investment value is not undermined through oversupply.

Commenting on the general development of the area surrounding Harrowglen, Mr. Lindsay said that the “Park & Ride” service has really taken off and that the car park for the service is always packed. “Harrowglen is very well positioned for this being just a short walk away and we have also been encouraged by the positive press that the Albany Town Centre development has been receiving which can only help to draw continued interest in the area.”

“We have been very impressed with the way DTZ’s Kenneth Millar has taken full ownership of the sale of the sub-division. He has developed an excellent reputation and has become both a trusted household name for many of the new homeowners and has also established a good rapport with the builders.”

Sections and show homes are currently open for viewing. For further information please call Kenneth Millar on 09 374-6620 or 021 993 766.
