Concise Annual Report 2006
OceanaGold today released the company’s concise annual report for the year ended 31 December 2006.
This is OceanaGold’s first annual report since completing the merger with Climax Mining in November 2006.
“OceanaGold is a stronger company as a result of the merger with Climax”, said Chief Executive Officer Stephen Orr. “We have successfully integrated the Climax assets into our project portfolio and are well positioned for continued growth.”
Mr Orr confirmed that OceanaGold intends to attain a North American listing in June 2007. “To this end, we will shortly seek court approval to convene meetings of our shareholders and optionholders to consider a proposal to place a newly incorporated Canadian company as the holding company of the OceanaGold group, and to apply to list that company on the Toronto Stock Exchange,” said Mr Orr.
