Incentives for new workplace training from
ATTTO
A new ‘Training Start Up Fund’ will offer help in overcoming barriers to train staff, aimed at increasing participation in industry training.
The fund is offered by ATTTO to businesses in the Aviation Tourism Travel and Museum sector.
Businesses that have never offered ATTTO industry training of Trainees and Modern Apprentices before, which face financial impediments to offering training, will be eligible.
The intention of the fund is to introduce industry training options to new businesses in the first year. Businesses will then be eligible to apply for ATTTO training entitlements and should no longer require assistance from the ‘Start Up Fund’.
The fund is available for a range of expenses that may be incurred by businesses in the course of training on the job, including assessment, benchmarking, trainee registration fees and training of workplace assessors.
Applications will be considered on a case by case basis and there is the ability to apply for the fund throughout the year.
There are several ways to apply for the fund, contact your ATTTO Industry Training Advisor or an application form can be found on the ATTTO website, www.ATTTO.org.nz.
