FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Christchurch based company wins major wireless technology award
I.T. Link's SalesLink Mobile solution has beaten six other entrants to take the major prize at the inaugural New Zealand 3G A-List awards, which were announced in Wellington on May 8.
SalesLink Mobile is a wireless sales entry system designed to operate on smartphone PDAs and is used by salespeople to streamline the process of taking electronic sales orders while in the field.
One of the award judges Rob Hart, Country Manager Australia and New Zealand for Qualcomm, said, ³I.T. Link has developed an innovative, clever but simple application that would seem to have global appeal.²
"SalesLink Mobile empowers the salesperson with current information including stock availability and pricing. Our latest release includes an innovative new feature we call Predictive ordering," said I.T. Link's Managing Director Oliver Huggins. "Predictive ordering analyses the customer¹s sales history and suggests items and quantities the customer should purchase based on their previous buying patterns. It's a real competitive advantage for a salesperson to have this information in the palm of their hand."
Huggins, who founded the company in Christchurch 10 years ago, said, "The value of this award will increase the exposure for mobile sales solutions. It shows that we are right up there with the best and that SalesLink Mobile is a world-class solution. This will help to attract venture capital to take our solution beyond New Zealand and Australia."
